This is an Advanced set of videos that shows you different ways that Edmodo deals with video. Not all videos play in Edmodo, sometimes the students have to download the video and then play it. In this video Russell will show you how to add video to folders and then share it with students as this means the video will play in a complete different way. A great tip and really well knowing and one that few teachers realise.
Edmodo allows you to moderate posts. This means that nothing will appear on the screen until the teacher has moderated the posts. This can be really useful if you are working with young learners and you are concerned with them writing something inappropriate. In this video I show you post moderation from the point of view of the teacher and the student, so this makes it really clear. You can see the teacher setting up moderation, see the student writing a post and then seeing what the teacher has to do to moderate the post.
Edmodo allows you to set assignments and give feedback to students on those assignments. This quick video shows you both the student and the teacher view so that you can understand the whole process. See how the teacher can set an assessment, see that the students sees. Then watch the student doing the assessment and after look at what the teacher sees and how the teacher can give feedback. Quick and straight to the point.
